How  does R.H. differ from Classical Homoeopathy, which also uses mental symptoms? In Classical Homoeopathy uncommon, rare and peculiar characteristic symptoms are taken into consideration for the prescription. In contrast R.H. prescribes on common, most ordinary and usual symptoms of the mind only, out of which Present, Predomination and Persisting (P.P.P.) are given importance. Therefore what it expects is for the medicine to balance those mental signals on which it was prescribed and in turn start some expulsions from the body (termed discharges) from the nose, mouth urethra, anus, skin, etc. and in turn give relief to the particular diseased state of the patient.

What are P.P.P.?

Present : The condition of the patient at the time of case taking.

Predominating : That which is upper most in the mind of the patient.

Persisting : That which is trying to settle in the body permanently.

R.H. works according to the Masters' views:

Practical applicability of Hahnemann's golden principle of cure (the cure must be pleasant, quick and permanent) is to be seen taking the shape in reality. We have to treat a patient not the disease.

Hering's law: The recovery must start from within outwards, from  centre to periphery from above downwards, in reverse order of coming. One remedy, one dose at a time.

Dr. Kent says, we treat the man. The man exists in his will and understanding, supported by his memory. This, in other words, is his mind, The mind is the most sensitive part of  human being. In case of a disease or proving, the mind is the first to react.

Dr. Sehgal emphasised that "a medicine which is a true similar, must be capable of restoring  NATURAL ORDER IN THE BODY WHICH HELPS IT TO HEAL ITSELF ON THE LINES OF NATURAL CURE, WHICH IN TURN INSTIGATES THE PROCESS OF NATURAL HEALING."

The  art of case taking according to R.H. :

Every patient coming to you for the treatment talks to you about something. It is not always necessary that he talks only about his sickness. He may do so about his business, about his surroundings including social and personal affairs, etc. and may totally ignore talking or complaining about his sickness for which he comes to you. So the first thing to be noted by you is WHAT HE SAYS, AND ABOUT WHAT. The second thing to be done by you is to OBSERVE WHAT HE DOES (WITH HIS HANDS, LIMBS AND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS IN THE SHAPE OF GESTURES) while he talks.
